A week ago I met little Mia and her mom, Jackie, in the English Gardens at Assiniboine Park. Mia is almost 2 1/2 years old and such a little bundle of energy!! She would run this way, then that way, then bunny hop back, then throw grass in the air, then roll around on the ground laughing, then show us her dance moves, and then start running all over again – it was sooooo much fun to watch and be around!! And it was also fun watching Jackie try to keep up with her, and with her falling-down pink tights! Now I know exactly why mothers of two-year-olds say they get so much exercise chasing after their children!!
Speaking of Mia’s pink tights – I LOVED her little outfit!!! I loved the light pink top, the bright pink skirt, the pink tights, the pink overcoat, and the oh-so-cool little brown boots! She was so adorable and stylish and I found myself wishing that I could get away with wearing pink tights, too!!
The tights eventually came off, and Mia kept taking her boots off and wasn’t too happy when Jackie would put them back on (I have some cute pouty-face photos that will go in the slideshow once I figure that all out again).
It was such a fun evening, and I so loved how quickly Mia warmed up to me and played for the camera, and I loved that she was saying my name by the end of the session and gave me a hug when I left!!! I love when little children like me, it makes me feel so special! Here are lots of photos, yes I went a bit crazy with posting more than usual this time, but Mia’s energy just came through so wonderfully in the photos that I couldn’t stop picking more, and making more storyboards to show her movement and action!
Thank you to Jackie and Mia for such a fun time and for giving me a glimpse into what it’ll be like when I have a two-year-old!!! ![]()
