Meet the Mushey Family!! Gordon and Carolynn were celebrating their 40th anniversary this year so they had a special family get-together in Gimli to celebrate and spend time together! I had so much fun with them, they’re such a fun family and so nice, friendly, funny, easy-going, and I could go on and on, it was such a joy hanging out with them. Tim, Tricia and Elliot came in from Alberta and I loved finally meeting Tricia after we’d been emailing!! And Kim, Trevor and little Makenna were so much fun and I completely fell in love with Makenna!!
We met in Gimli by the big Viking statue and had some fun by the water, and both Elliot and Makenna got to be thrown up in the air lots and they absolutely loved it!!! And I chased little Elliot around and we got some fabulous smiles which made me so happy – he’s a little ball of energy and so active so it was so funny to see him run this way and that! Then we went to a nearby park for a little more shade and lots more photos, and then we went to see this old schoolhouse building (which is now a government building) and hung out around there and explored the attic area, too! And then we all ate at Subway before I headed back to Winnipeg.
I had such a fun time hanging out with them all, each member of their family is so wonderful and together they’re all so fun and there was so much laughter and good times! And I was again reminded at how small a city Winnipeg is (even though it’s actually big), cause they’re good friends with Brent & Tarya (who will be on here again very soon!), and Tim grew up with and was great friends with Kyle (of Kyle and Marnie)! I love all these connections!!! Thank you SO MUCH to you all for such a fun time, and congratulations again to Gordon and Carolynn on 40 wonderful years of marriage, and I wish for the absolute best for you both especially after your difficult past year. I could seriously go on and on, I love this family!!!

Makenna LOVED being thrown in the air, and I love how her hair would go flying up, so cute!!
Elliot absolutely LOVED being thrown in the air, too!! I was so impressed with how long Tim could go and how many times he threw Elliot before his arms were too tired!

Next we went to a park where there was a little more shade available. The grass was soaked with water but it was so pretty there!

This series cracks me up!!! It’s the perfect example of what parents do behind me to get their children to look up and smile!!! I wish I could have taken a quick video of it so we’d have sound, too!

At the end we went up to see where Snaebjorn and Snorri sleep, it was such a cute little thing!!
