A couple weeks ago I was so honored to be involved in the second annual High Style shoot, which was arranged by the fabulous Events by Emma and featured over 30 of Winnipeg’s amazing vendors. The event was held at the beautiful Fort Garry Hotel, and featured five different themed sets. The other photographers involved, who are all so well-known and amazing, were Curtis Moore, Jeremy Hiebert and Trevor Brucki.
The talents of all the vendors involved was amazing to see. Each set looked so incredible, from flowers to linens to menus to serving wear and so many wonderful little details were included! And all the models looked so wonderful thanks to amazing dresses (and tuxes) provided by local vendors, gorgeous jewelry, and hair, makeup and pedicures. It was such a fun experience and I want to say a special thank you to Emma and Sacha from Events by Emma, who were the organizers of this whole huge and wonderful event!!
My theme was called Garden Romance, and incorporated the colors yellow, green, gray and white. I was so so happy to have my wonderful 2009 bride, Aimee, be my model, she’s so gorgeous and looked amazing!! I also loved having her there for her friendship, she’s such a wonderful person and I completely adore her! I also loved being able to photograph some of the Indian Summer theme!! All of the photographers involved were sharing that theme, and while most of the time I was still photographing for my own theme, at the end I looooved being able to photograph the model with all her gorgeous jewelry, amazing henna, and so colorful outfit!
Mark Hiebert of Epic Videography spent the day getting amazing footage, and he’s put together the following preview video, it’s INCREDIBLE!! I loved seeing what he could do with a 7D (I have one of those, but have never really experimented with video before (and even when I do, I know I won’t be able to capture it as he does)!)! I loved meeting Mark and not only is he amazingly talented, but he’s such a nice guy, so easy to talk to, so friendly, everything. Brides, you should so contact this guy, I so highly recommend him! As much as I love still photographs, I also absolutely love the way well-done videography can add another element to the memories of a day. Here is Mark’s amazing video:
