Meet Jill and Ian!! There were way too many photos I wanted to post so I’ve divided this up into two parts – first up is the getting ready through the ceremony! I think I’m posting many more photos than normal partly because I know that, although Jill and Ian had so so many family and friends fly in from all over the world to celebrate with them, I’m sure there were many more who couldn’t make the trip so the long and two-part posts are in many ways for those who couldn’t come (and of course for Jill and Ian, too!)!
This was such a fun and gorgeous wedding to be a part of. Jill is absolutely stunning, and looked even more so in her amazing dress and birdcage veil, I loved it! And Ian is quite dapper – they make an amazingly beautiful couple! I also fell in love so quickly with both of their parents, who were so warm and friendly and wonderful (and I loved how Jill’s dad got emotional a few times during the day, so touching and sweet!)! And their wedding party was so fun and beautiful, and there was so much love and joy and anticipation throughout the whole day! Oh – and it was also Jill’s birthday, now Ian only has to remember one date!
I started out with the girls and had so much fun that morning, and we watched as a little mini storm would come through with rain lasting a few minutes, and then blue sky and sunshine would follow, and then repeat that all over! I’m so happy we had some intermissions from the rain, but oh I would have loved to take more photos in Jill’s parents’ amazing yard!! Jody (my husband) started out the day with the guys and I could tell they had some fun! Then off to the church to get married! It was a very hot and humid day, and that continued into the church, but a little sweat never hurt anyone, right? (I say that now when I’m sitting in a cool house, then it was really, really hot!)!
Enjoy the little peek into the first half of their wedding day, and I’ll post Part II with fun wedding party photos, lots of gorgeous Jill & Ian photos, and the fabulous reception in a couple days!
The two best men were SO funny!! And I think the right-most photo is demonstrating the work of the terrible mosquito population in Winnipeg!

It was really hot, Jill needed to air out a bit before going back outside!
