I met up with Amanda and Adam a week ago for a fun engagement shoot! We worried that it would be too cold to be outside but it ended up being pretty comfortable (well Adam may not agree, but compared to real winter this felt so nice!)! It was so fun wandering around the Exchange, chatting, laughing, taking sweet photos, and getting to know them! They’re so nice, laid-back, just really fun to hang out with, and Amanda has the most gorgeous eyes ever, so beautiful, and I absolutely love Adam’s smile!! I’m so looking forward to their wedding in July, it will be fun and laid back and with lots of time to just focus on Adam and Amanda in gorgeous locations – my perfect kind of wedding day!!

Here are a bunch of photos, I meant to post 15 max cause that’s sort of my new goal for non-weddings, but I guess since it’s been so long I had too much fun picking more!

I had so much fun getting to know these two better during the session, it’s why I love engagement shoots so much – I get to know the couple and how they interact, and get comfortable with them, and even more important – they get to know me and feel comfortable not only with me, but being in front of the camera! So often a couple is a little nervous at first but by 10-15 minutes in, they’re naturals!! And that makes for a much easier wedding day!! A funny little thing, when I first got there and walked in the house, I was talking to Gillian and her mom for a bit and was wondering in my head, “where’s Dan?” and the whole time he was sitting silently in a chair behind me, almost like he hoped I’d forget he needed to be in the photos!! Such a guy!! But after a bit he was fabulous, and I loved the cute interaction between them!! Okay, that’s the end of my lecture on why engagement shoots are so wonderful (and that’s not even going into having fabulous, relaxed photos when a couple is more “themselves” than they sometimes are on their actual wedding day!)!

Thank you to Gillian and Dan, you two were so fun and I’m in love with these photos, and looking forward already to your wedding!!! Here are a bunch of my favorites from the evening!

For their Day After Session, we went up to near Winnipeg Beach by the fabulous piers, beautiful little beaches and of course some pretty amazing light! I love that area so much! And the sky was so blue and perfect, I was in love!!

I won’t write too much more, I’m just so in love with so many of these photos and had such a fun time with them so the whole session makes me so happy!! Here are a few of my favorites, oh it was so hard to choose cause every single photo of them is gorgeous! Enjoy!!

I’m finishing up edits on earlier weddings right now but I wanted to post some sneak peek photos for all my upcoming posts as well, and so everyone can have a few photos to see right now! I’m going to try to have all of these posts done and up in the next two weeks, that’s my goal, and also have 75% of all work completely edited by that time (less just the most recent weddings which will take a little longer). Okay, now I’ve put it out there, so I have a deadline!! I’m not doing any baby stuff until I’m finished with photos, and baby is due in 7 weeks so I need to get the butt in gear so I have time to prepare!

With that being said, I’m sooooo in love with every single one of these weddings and shoots below, I’m so excited with how the photos look and I can’t wait to show a bit more of each! You’re all gorgeous and wonderful!!!

Krizsia and Jeff were so wonderful in doing the sweet and serious photos, and then they were also so cute and silly together at other times – and I discovered that Jeff is wonderfully silly and loves to do random funny poses, so funny!! The whole shoot was so much fun and I absolutely loved getting to know Krizsia and Jeff much better, and I know their wedding will be so much fun!!

I had so many favorites, it was hard narrowing them down. So here are a few of my favorites!

Landon is soooooo cute!!! I loved seeing him running all over, so active and curious and all little boy! And at 13 months, when you ask him how old he is, he’ll hold up one finger, and when you ask him what a snake says, he says “hsssss”, and I know there was another animal sound too that I can’t remember right now. He’s so smart! And with all the mosquitoes flying all around, Landon didn’t even seem to be bothered much which was impressive cause the adults were hating all those little monster bugs! Amber and Greg have been together for almost 7 years (I’m 90% sure that it’s 7 years), and what I love so much is they have such a wonderful comfort and friendship with each other, but they also have such a sweet and expressive love, it’s so wonderful to see!!! And they’re naturals in front of the camera which is unusual and very fun!

After our photo session, Amber and Greg had me over to their house and we chatted for a couple more hours and had such a fun evening! It meant so much to me and I loved so much getting to know them even better and getting to talk about all kinds of fun stuff!! Thank you SO MUCH you two, I had such fun that night with you all and I’m looking forward to getting to know you even better and then to your wedding this fall!!! This post has lots of photos! I had such a hard time choosing! This kind of natural scenery and old buildings and such is my absolute favorite, and Rina and Brad are so cute and look so good – so lots of photos!
