August’s 1st Birthday Party!

Happy Birthday little August!!! August officially turned 1 this past Thursday, and the weekend before that he had a fun birthday party at Babies in Bloom, which is such a wonderful place for babies and little kids to play and learn (it’s a Montessori play school for parents and babies aged 0-36 months). I would definitely check it out if I had a little one, I was so impressed with all the safe toys, the bright colors, and the songs and games they played that were designed to help little babies learn and develop.

It was such a fun party and it had been a few months since I’d seen August so I LOVED seeing him crawling all around, climbing all over things, and even standing up and starting to walk! And I loved seeing all the other little babies and children there as well and seeing them having fun and starting to interact with each other a little bit. August had his first taste of sugar in the form of his cupcake with yummy frosting, and he was a huge fan of the frosting, it was so cute and I loved his messy little frosting face and fingers!!! And he got so many nice presents from his baby friends, I’m sure he’s having fun with them!

Thank you so much to Ryan, Sue and August for having me be a part of this very special day!!! And I loved seeing your families again and meeting all the other moms as well! Here are some of my favorite photos!

I can’t believe August is standing and starting to walk, it seems like just yesterday that he was still a baby!

Sneak Preview – Baby August, 3 months old

I spent the day yesterday with my friend Sue and her little baby, August. I am absolutely in love with him, he’s the cutest and sweetest and most adorable little guy!!! He’s also such a happy little guy, and he smiles all the time! However, I didn’t get any really good smiling pictures because he would just stare into the camera and as soon as I moved it down a little and smiled at him, he’d smile back really big but stop when I lifted the camera again! I’m just going to have to go spend some more time with him so I can get some smiling pictures!

Sue and I took August for a walk in her neighborhood, and then we went to Assiniboine Park and walked through the Sculpture Garden which is absolutely so beautiful, I need to go back there! I want Jody to see it, too!

In the evening, Ryan (August’s daddy) called Jody to come over, and the four of us ordered in pizzas – and they were the best pizzas Jody and I have had in Winnipeg so far so we’re so excited to have found a good pizza place now!

There are so many cute photos of August, but I have time right now to just post one. This is little August during his tummy time – he is sooooooooooooo cute, I just adore him so much!!!!
