Thank you so much to Trevor, Pam and Nate! I had a great time hanging out with you, chatting about all kinds of things, and of course cooing over all of Nate’s cuteness! Here are lots of my favorite photos from the day!

I LOVE how little Nate is in a tiny baby ball here, so so so cute!!

The beautiful fuzzy “nest” in the next three photos is knit by the fabulous Lee-Ann of Paper Raisins – she makes some of the most beautiful photography props for newborns, and also knits such cute hats for little kids (and adults, too!) You should definitely check her out, she’s fabulous!!

It was such a fun party and it had been a few months since I’d seen August so I LOVED seeing him crawling all around, climbing all over things, and even standing up and starting to walk! And I loved seeing all the other little babies and children there as well and seeing them having fun and starting to interact with each other a little bit. August had his first taste of sugar in the form of his cupcake with yummy frosting, and he was a huge fan of the frosting, it was so cute and I loved his messy little frosting face and fingers!!! And he got so many nice presents from his baby friends, I’m sure he’s having fun with them!

I can’t believe August is standing and starting to walk, it seems like just yesterday that he was still a baby!

Little Brianne was very photogenic, and I love so many of her photos with her mom and dad (and I LOVED their pink-red wall for a backdrop)! Thank you so much to Melissa, Ray and Brianne, I had such a wonderful time chatting with you and taking lots of photos, and I wish you all so much joy in the coming months and with your move and Brianne learning lots of new things! Thank you so much to Tracy and little Jordan, I had so much fun hanging out with you both!!! Jordan is so precious and was so fun, and I love equally his smiling photos and his photos with his eyes so big and wide and looking so innocent! Here are lots of my favorites!!

Gabrielle was fast asleep when I first got there, but she woke up soon after and for such a tiny little newborn, she was awake for the rest of the time I was there! She ate a few times, she was a good little eater! And she was really strong – whenever we put her on her tummy she would push her legs out and roll over on her side. And I didn’t yet mention how adorable and tiny she was!!! I still had a bit of runny nose from my cold so I didn’t want to touch her, but I secretly so wanted to hold her! Oh and a funny little thing – her eyes, especially her right eye, kept going cross-eyed! And I loved seeing her long fingers (and super-fast-growing fingernails!), and her hair that has a definite red tint to it!

Thank you so much to Angela and Adrian for having me over to your home again and letting me take photos of Gabrielle during her precious newborn time. And thank you to sweet Kasey for being so cute and bringing your toy over and posing for photos as well! I’m so happy for you all and the start of your life with Gabrielle, and I wish you so much joy and laughter and happiness!

Gabrielle was upset that Kansas City was so bad this year.

Sarah had Katie dressed in the cutest little jean dress for the first half of the session (and I LOVED the little shoes), and then we took lots of photos with little Katie in her diaper and with a soft blanket – I so love when little babies start getting the little marshmallow arms that are soooo cute!!! And then Sarah brought out my favorites – some cute little hats! Katie was such a wonderful little trooper and I ended up with so many wonderful photos, it was so hard to choose the best ones.

I can’t forget to mention their amazingly cute and sweet little pug, whose name I for some reason had and have the hardest time remembering – it was something like Monroe but I don’t think that was it. Anyway, he was so cute, and followed us around and was often at my feet, and his little face was soooooooo loveable! So he got his own storyboard at the end!

Thank you so much to Sarah, Jordan and Katie, it was so wonderful to meet you all! And here are some of my favorites from the day!!

I am so in love with little Kami, when I’m around her and holding her I so feel the urge to have a baby of my own! She’s soooo cuddly, and makes the most adorable little expressions, and has such a wonderful baby smell, and is so sweet and yes, I’m completely taken with her!!

Kami was two months old when we took these photos, and we put her in such cute little hats – I LOVE little hats on babies and children (and I’ll have more info on some adorable homemade hats soon!). The pink hat with the braided ties hanging down was my favorite – I want to get a few of those of my own for future baby shoots! We also took some photos of Kami in her future baptism outfit. It’s the same outfit that Tina was baptized in, and Kami’s older brother Steven was also baptized in it. Kami looked so angelic while she was sleeping in the white dress and little cap, and the sunlight coming in was so magical, I love those photos so much!

I also took a few photos of Steven when I first got there, and of Steven with little Kami. He was so funny because after about a minute he was tired of posing with Kami so claimed she was “hurting him” as she laid sleeping on him – so silly!! And then, at the end, I asked Tina to take some photos of Kami and I since I’m so in love with her, and Tina happily took many of us! I don’t usually post photos of myself from these shoots, but I had to here because I love them so much!!! So here are some of my favorites!

Krista loves photos and photography, and she had so many props – I definitely want to get some of the little angel wings that she had!!! And James is in the army and has done tours of duty in both Bosnia and Afghanistan, so we took some photos of Payton with his boots, helmet, blanket, and metals. The whole family was wonderful and so friendly, and little Payton was so adorable even when she was crying! Also, I absolutely loved Payton’s room – the walls were painted pink, the furniture was black, there were pink curtains in the window, and so many wonderful little decorations all over the room. And Payton’s initials spell “pear” so there were some little pears in the room, too! Oh and one other thing – Payton has SO MANY clothes already!!!! She’s going to be the best dressed little baby girl!!!

One of my favorites!!!


I snapped these photos of Krista dressing little Payton and they have grown on me so much, I love how they show how small she is and her little stomach and legs!

This is little Elle, who is a little over nine months old and so absolutely perfectly adorable!! I so so so loved her little striped hoodie and her little shoes that her mom, Nancy, dressed her in!!! Little Elle has learned to crawl, but she had a hard time getting her feet underneath her with the big shoes she’s not used to, and it made for so many so cute photos of her sitting in the grass and sitting in the leaves – and speaking of leaves, she was loving them!! She was also loving putting them in her mouth and trying to eat them before mum could pull them out! She even tried to eat gravel (yucky!) and wasn’t happy when mum tried to get it all out of her mouth. I had to include such a funny photo of Elle looking like she’s doing a yoga Downward Dog pose, it makes me smile every time I see it! And near the end, when she didn’t want to smile as much, it was so adorable how ticklish she was and she’d laugh and laugh and laugh when Nancy tickled her under her little arms!!

I loved meeting little Elle, she was so sweet and had such a cute little smile and laugh! Here are some of my favorite photos!!

Kristina and her husband Mike (who didn’t want to have his picture taken but was a trooper!) have two children: Steven, who is four and all little boy, and Kami, who is a month and a half and such an adorable little tiny baby! I was amazed that Kami could hold her head up on her own, but she has no problem and isn’t even a bit wobbly, her little neck is so strong – Kristina told me that right after birth in the hospital, when the nurse was taking a little pinprick of blood from the bottom of one of Kami’s feet, Kami reared up at the prick and scared the nurse who had never had a newborn be able to move like that before! Oh, and she also has the CUTEST spiky hair ever, she looks like a little rock star!!! And little Steven, oh he has so much little boy energy and is so cute, and I loved at the end when he pulled out Kristina’s camera and was taking photos of their cat and even of me – he’s a future photographer!!
