On the drive a little outside of town, I was following Jen and Chris and was laughing so much at Bella and Charlie in the backseat – they kept switching sides and sometimes sharing a side to look out the window, it was adorable! Jen had them all washed up and pretty and of course, before we got any photos of them, they went running into the water! They had such a fun time running all over though so they were so happy! And Chris and Jen were so cute together, and the field Jen found was so gorgeous!!!

Thank you so much to Jen and Chris!! I had so much fun hanging out with you two!! Here are a few of my favorites from the day, and you’ll be getting many more to choose from as well!

After the ceremony, we all headed over to Harbor View Golf Course for lots of fun photos, first with the wedding party and Cody and Kayla, and then we had a lot of time with just Heather and Chris. It was such a relaxed and fun time and the day was so beautiful!! I was so excited to have my wonderful husband helping me again and as we were driving back to Transcona Country Club for the reception, he was raving about how wonderful Heather and Chris were as well, and completely understood why I’ve adored them since I first met them!

The reception was wonderful fun, filled with lots of laughs, a few tears, and tons of fun dancing!! Heather had made some cards with lots of (mostly) multiple choice questions about the two of them and Cody and Kayla, and Cody had such a great time running up to answer most of them! And Chris’s sister Daphne was the MC and did a fabulous job (I have a shoot with Daphne and her motorcycle on Sunday so you’ll be seeing her soon on here!)!

I’m so happy for Heather and Chris and also so happy that we’ve all become friends, and the hubby and I are looking forward to seeing them again soon! They are truly such wonderful people, both alone and together, and I think the absolute world of them and was so honored to be a part of their special day.

The hubby took this next one and it’s one of my absolute favorites from the day, I admit I was a little jealous that I didn’t take it!

Okay on to Heather and Chris, who I so adore!!! I’m so happy and blessed to have met them, and they were the first couple to book me for a full wedding and put their faith and trust in me so that means so much!!! Before I even met Heather I knew I loved her, she had emailed me about my availability for their wedding date and setting a meeting, and I sent her an excited email back, and then she was so cute, she sent me another email with all kinds of factoids about herself and Chris and a photo of them with their two children so I could feel like I knew more about them before we met (since she knew so much about me from my blog) – how wonderful is that!! I remember being so giddy when I got it and telling my husband that I adored them already!!

Heather and Chris have such a sweet love story! They went to school together from a very young age but I don’t think they really knew each other too well. Their paths separated for awhile, and then when they were in college Heather was at the grocery store and saw Chris there with his mom (and was pretty sure it was him) and fell for his long golden locks, and she decided to look him up and send him an email and it was history from there!! They have two so cute and wonderful children together, Cody and Kayla. They are so sweet, so nice, so happy, and such good kids and as my husband said, that says so much about Heather and Chris. I know it was so meaningful to Heather and Chris to have Cody and Kayla there and being a part of their wedding day, and Cody especially had fun at the reception answering all the questions about his parents and their family!!!

I started out in the morning at Chris and Heather’s house, where Heather was getting her hair and makeup done and getting ready. Chris answered the door when I got there and I said “what are you doing here?!” – he left before Heather got dressed but was finishing things up, washing and decorating his fabulous Trans Am, and then showering before going to his parents’s house to finish getting ready. I loved hanging out in the morning with the girls and there were so many laughs and fun stories, and when I ran over to take some photos of Chris (and Cody) getting dressed there were lots of laughs there as well!

The wedding was held at Transcona Country Club and luckily could be outside (lots of rain was forecast for the day but it was so sunny the whole day – yay!) Most of the guests had to stand because the grass was too wet but having the ceremony outside was so much better and more beautiful than the alternative! Their wedding ceremony was one of the sweetest and most emotional and touching I’ve witnessed. I have so many photos of them looking at each other with such love and it was so hard to pick just a few to post. And they both cried during the vows!! I loved that!!!! It was really so wonderful and filled with so much love and it’s one of the things I’ll remember most from their wedding day.

We had such a good time during their engagement session!! They’re so fun and I’ve loved hanging out with them every time I’ve seen them, and I loved getting to know them even better! We started out on a big hill near their house where they go often, usually with their two adorable kids Cody and Kayla (I can’t wait to see them all dressed up on the wedding day, they’ll be so cute!!), and then we went over near the Exchange and into the Exchange. I think my favorite part was when Chris carved their names into a brick at the Winnipeg Police Water Patrol Station (that’s probably not the official name but it’s something like that) – it was so cool to look at all the other carved names from years past, and I think it’s so super cool that they have their names carved in there now, too!!!

I’m looking forward to going through all their photos and I’m sure I’ll find so many more that I love! For now, here are some favorites!! And stay tuned for more of these two in the near future!!!

I stopped by Chris and Heather’s Social a couple weeks ago to take some photos, and my first thought was how cute and fabulous they looked!!! And then I loved seeing them interacting with family and friends and surrounded by so many people who love them! They are really, really, really wonderful, and I’ve seen it myself and experienced it in the way that they were so welcoming to me and so excited to see me – they made me feel so special and it was their party!! I’m so looking forward to their engagement session and their wedding this summer, and I’m also happy that I’ll get to know them better every time I see them!!

Heather and Chris, thank you so much for being so wonderful and sweet, I had such a fun time at your social and I can’t wait for your engagement session and wedding!!! Oh and I’m also excited that Chris’s sister Daphne won the session I donated and I am so excited about all the fun and fabulous photos we’ll get!!
