Meet little Aiden and his mom and dad, Lisa and Dennis! Aiden was just about one year old when we got together to take some photos, and I can’t even tell you how sweet and adorable he was – his bright blue eyes, his sweet and adorable little smile, he was all cuteness and sweetness and I was in love!!! When I got home that afternoon I told my husband that I’d be totally okay with having a little boy if he was like Aiden (when we eventually have children!)!

Thank you so much to Lisa, Dennis and Aiden, I had such a wonderful time hanging out with you and I LOVE the little outfits and hats that you dressed Aiden in!!! Here are some of my favorites from the day!!

The Welburn Family

Meet the Welburn Family! I met up with them a couple weeks ago at Kildonan Park and had such a wonderful time hanging out and taking lots of fabulous photos! I loved that they were all so into the photos and getting fun group shots and family shots and couples shots and all kinds of fun stuff. And the kids, Cameron, Grace and Bella, were so incredibly cute and fun and funny! We started off near the little kids’ playground, made our way to the pond where the kids fed the ducks, then to another playground, then played with blowing some bubbles, and eventually went back to the first playground where Grandma and Grandpa searched out the ice cream guy (bribery is good!)!! The whole session was really fun!!!

I know they’ve been waiting anxiously for these photos so I’ll get right to them. Courtney & Sabrina

Last month when Jody and I were on vacation in Vancouver I hung out with our little nieces for an hour for some photos! Courtney is almost 8 and Sabrina is 5, and they were so much fun – we went out in their backyard and I LOVED being able to shoot outdoors there after so many months of freezing weather here in Winnipeg. Vancouver had quite a bit of snow around Christmas and there was still a little bit in their backyard so Sabrina showed me her shoveling talents! The two of them are so cute together, very playful and very affectionate and I loved how they’d kiss each other on the lips and then both immediately wipe their mouths off! Courtney is a little monkey and loves to climb things, as I’ve heard about before and as she demonstrated a few times, and she was so cute and I loved how she’d sometimes catch me pointing the camera at her and make a silly pout face and then break into a smile!! And Sabrina has the most adorable smile and laugh ever – seriously I can’t get enough of her adorable photos (and I’m sure it has a little to do with the fact that she resembles Jody so much)!

After being outside for awhile we went inside and while I waited for Jody to pick me up, Courtney showed me her room and also got really excited when she found out the DVD for High School Musical 3 was being released – and I found out she has a big crush on Zac Efron, she even kissed his picture!! And Sabrina was super intent on making a puzzle and she finished it right before I left. I LOVE so many of these photos and had such a fun time going through them and editing them. And my mother-in-law has been waiting so patiently for them, I know she’s so excited to see them!!!

I made a SLIDESHOW, too! And in Courtney’s honor, I downloaded a song from one of the High School Musicals for it so she can sing along! I have another link to the slideshow at the end of the post after the photos so don’t forget to check it out after looking at the photos!!

This is one of my favorite photos ever, I love it so incredibly much – to me if I had to describe childhood (or what childhood should be) in one photo, this would be it! ::

Courtney made out a menu of what she was going to make for and serve to her parents on Valentine’s Day – she’s so sweet!

Lisa & Jon :: Engaged!

I had a shoot with Lisa & Jon last October and immediately fell in love with their energy and joy and love for each other, and I loved how much fun they had and how playful they were! Jon contacted me soon after to tell me about his plans to propose to Lisa over Christmas and schedule a shoot for soon after, so I was really looking forward to photographing them again.

I believe it was on Christmas Eve when he proposed, and Lisa was completely surprised (even though so many people knew about his plans, everyone kept it a complete secret from her!)!! I loved seeing her beautiful ring, which Jon designed specially (with the help of a jeweler, of course!)! Oh, and a few weeks before Christmas, Lisa adopted a puppy from the shelter who she named Rookie, so he joined in with his mum and dad for some photos and also got some fabulous doggy photos of his own. He was so cute with all his puppy energy, and I LOVED that when you look at him straight on, his nose looks almost like a pig nose which made him even more cutely adorable!

Lisa and Jon are now living together up in the Great White North (which means further north than Winnipeg, even though some of my family and friends refer to Winnipeg as the Great White North, too!) and are having fun setting up house and introducing Rookie to other doggy friends. I’m so happy for these two and so excited for them with all the new experiences they’ll have together. Their love and excitement so shines through in their photos, so it was (again) hard for me to choose which ones to post since I love so many of them!

Thank you so much to Lisa and Jon for having me photograph you again, it was so much fun and I love hanging out with you both!! And thank you to Lisa’s sister, Tina, for coming along to help with Rookie and take some photos of her own! Here are many of my favorite photos from the day!!

Lisa & Jon :: Anytime

Meet Lisa and Jon!! They are about to celebrate their two-year anniversary of dating, and also Lisa is Kristina’s (from two posts back) sister! Jon is in training for the RCMP in Regina, so he and Lisa only get to see each other on random weekends and it was so cute and wonderful to see how happy they were being together when we met up!!

We went to the Exchange District on a very rainy and wet Sunday morning. I’d luckily borrowed some umbrellas from Curtis to keep us mostly dry, but I sooooo loved that Lisa and Jon were playful and free-spirited and not afraid of a little rain. They even jumped in a big puddle!!! I had a great time hanging out with them and taking photos, and they were wonderful in every way! Enjoy your photos, you two!!
